Ursula’s Return – League, Play, and Trade

Thursdays 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, May 30 thru June 27

Join us for Ursula’s Return – League, Play, and Trade! This is the perfect opportunity to learn how to play Disney: Lorcana, experience the new sets cards, and improve your deck construction skills.

Cost: Initial entry cost is $29.99 and each player will receive one starter deck of their choice from Ursula’s Revenge, one GameGenic Deck Holder 200+, and one additional booster pack, all of which is yours to keep at the end of league.

Each week thereafter the entry fee is $11.98 and includes 1 booster pack to keep and one booster pack for the prize pool for the week.

How it Works:  Sign-ups are first come first serve until league is filled (10 players maximum) – call or sign-up in store.

The first week you will use your Starter Deck and pack to build a 60 card deck. Normal constructed rules apply. Each week, you will get one additional pack to add on to your deck, or you can trade for cards you need with other players. We will trade and build, and then play with other league players to earn points. Your league deck and cards will be stored at Diversions in your deck box. At the end of league, you will take home your decks, cards, deck boxes, and some fun goodies!

Additional guidelines:

• Games can only be played with Official League Decks on designated league nights.
• Only cards received as part of league weekly entry boosters can be added to an Official League Deck. These can be cards you opened in your pack, or cards you traded with another league member from their league pack.
• Folks who wish to join late, can catch up by back-paying weekly entry fees. For every back-paid entry, they can earn up to the average of points earned by league members that week and receive that many booster packs to use for their decks.

League Rules:

• No proxies are allowed in league games in which you earn points.
• Cards from league packs may be traded with other players in-store. Selling or buying cards from players is prohibited during the league.
• Good sportsmanship is expected.  This is a fun game!​
• You must provide your email for your (Melee) account.  If you do not have one, you will need to create one to participate in the League.

League Scoring: You will be awarded points on a league chart for playing games and completing other league activities. For each week you can earn the following points:

• Win a single match: 1 point
• Teach someone to play Lorcana in the store: 2 points
• Play in a multiplayer game with 3-4 players: 2 points
• Bring someone new to participate in the league: 1 point
• Wear Lorcana or Disney themes apparel: 1 point
• Play with Lorcana or Disney themed accessories: 1 point​

Additional Ways to Earn Points:

Four bonus achievements, similar to the ones below, will be chosen randomly each week.  Each achievement is worth 1 point and can only be scored once per week!

• WE DON’T TALK ABOUT BRUNO: Have at least three different Madrigal cards in play
• DOUBLE FEATURE: Include cards from just two movie franchises
• PARADIGM SHIFT: Have two characters with Shift in play
• TREASURES UNTOLD: Play two items in one turn
• VILLAINOUS: Have three Villains in play
• IT’S A GREAT ILLUMINARY AFTER ALL: Have a Dreamborn, a Floodborn, and a Storyborn card in play
• UNEASY ALLIANCE: Have a Hero and a Villain card in play
• THE GREAT ILLUMINARY SNACK BAR: Have three cards with food in the image
• ALWAYS TINKERING: Have three different items in play at once

​Prizing

End-of-league prizing will (at a minimum) include:

• First, second, and third place
• Smoking boots (lowest number of points among members who played every week)
