Shimmering Skies – League, Play, and Trade

Thursdays 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, August 22 -September 19

Join us for Shimmering Skies – League, Play, and Trade! This is the perfect opportunity to learn how to play Disney: Lorcana, experience the new sets cards, and improve your deck construction skills. Show up anytime between 5:00pm and 9:00pm on league night to participate.

Cost: Initial entry cost is $29.99 and each player will receive one starter deck of their choice from Shimmering Skies, one deck box, and one additional booster pack, all of which is yours to keep at the end of league.

If you have a deck box from the previous league or want to bring your own, the cost to enter will be $21.99.

Each week thereafter the entry fee is $11.98 and includes 2 booster packs to trade and build your deck with. On the final week, September 19, we will have a constructed tournament where the entry fee of $11.98 will include one pack for your deck, and one pack for the prize pool.

How it Works:  Sign-ups are first come first serve until league is filled (16 players maximum) – call or sign-up in store.

The first week you will use your Starter Deck and pack to build a 60-card deck using all 6 colors. All other normal constructed rules apply.  Each week, you will get one additional pack to add on to your deck, or you can trade for cards you need with other players, and you will use one less color in your deck.

We will trade and build, and then play with other league players to earn points. Your league deck and cards will be stored at Diversions in your deck box. At the end of league, you will take home your decks, cards, deck boxes, and some fun goodies!

Additional guidelines:

• League points will only be earned with official League Decks. You are welcome to play constructed on league night to hone your tournament/championship decks, but you will only earn league points for playing with league decks.
• Only cards received as part of league weekly entry boosters can be added to an Official League Deck. These can be cards you opened in your pack, or cards you traded with another league member from their league pack.
• Folks who wish to join late or who miss a week can catch up by back-paying weekly entry fees. For every back-paid entry, they can earn up to the average of points earned by league members that week and receive that many booster packs to use for their decks.

League Rules:

• No proxies are allowed in league games in which you earn points.
• Cards from league packs may be traded with other players in-store. Selling or buying cards from players is prohibited for league decks.
• Good sportsmanship is expected.  This is a fun game!​
• You must provide your email for your (Melee) account.  If you do not have one, you will need to create one to participate in the League for our final tournament.

League Scoring: You will be awarded points on a league chart for playing games and completing other league activities. For each week you can earn the following points, with a maximum of 10 points per week:

• Win a single match: 2 point
• Lose a single match: 1 point
• Teach someone to play Lorcana in the store: 2 points
• Play in a multiplayer game with 3-4 players: 2 points
• Bring someone new to participate in the league: 1 point
• Wear Lorcana or Disney themes apparel: 1 point
• Play with Lorcana or Disney themed accessories: 1 point​
• In addition, we will have a BINGO card for each league member to score extra points.
• The final tournament will award points based on final standings, to be determined.
