Join us for a special STEM Activity Day! This is a half-day event for children ages 8 to 12 where we will explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through board games and science kits. This event costs $50.00 and you must enroll online here at EventBrite.

The schedule for the day is below:

9:00am to 9:30am: Drop off
You can drop off anytime between 9:00am and 9:30am. We will have some light games set up during this time so kids can easily jump into an activity while we wait for everyone to arrive.

9:30am to 10:30am: Science Building Kit and Snack
Recycle a soda can and turn it into something fun, and at the end of the day your child will be able to take it home! Pick from a Tin Can Robot or a Tin Can Cable Car. A light snack of pretzels, fruit, and juice or water will be provided.

10:45am to 11:45am: Science Academy: Volcano Lab
Geology and chemistry come together in Science Academy’s Volcano Lab! The fizzing reaction between citric acid and baking soda makes bubbles of carbon dioxide that looks and moves just like lava in a volcanic eruption!

12:00pm to 12:30pm: Lunch

12:45pm to 1:45pm: Math Games
After lunch we will play some math-themed board games! We will have the opportunity to play Mobi, Tiny Polka Dot, Proof, and Zeus on the Loose to reinforce math skills.

1:45pm to 2:15pm: Pick Up
You can pick up anytime between 1:45pm and 2:15pm. We will have some light games set up during this time so kids can easily jump out once you arrive.

Things to Know…
• As a first-time event, this is limited to 6 spaces. Please sign up asap if you would like to participate! Depending on interest we may be able to add additional spots.
• You must enroll and pay online prior to the event. Registration will close on Sunday, July 15.
• There are unfortunately no refunds provided for the activity day. If you cannot attend for some reason, you will still be able to pick up the kits we use during the event for home-use, but we cannot refund your registration fee.
• Please allow an extra 5-10 minutes at drop off to complete a release form and an emergency contact form.
• A snack will be provided: pretzels, fruit, and water or juice. Please notify us of any allergies at enrollment.
• You will need to provide a lunch for your child. We kindly request that you avoid common allergens like nuts to ensure there are no issues.
• Late pick-ups will result in an extra fee of $5 for every 15 minutes.
