SUMMARY:Used Board Game Sale
DESCRIPTION:The Used Board Game Sale will take place all weekend long\, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Saturday\, and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday. \nAnyone who has something in their personal libraries that they’re looking to trade out for something new will be able to bring it to the shop\, set the price they’d like to sell it for\, then browse all of the games that others have brought in and find something new. Once you have dropped off your games at the store they cannot be picked up until after the sale\, make sure you’re ready to say goodbye! \nAny game that you bring in that is sold will earn you store credit equal to the price you set for it. Want to sell a copy of Catan for $10.00? If someone buys it\, you’ll get $10.00 in Diversions store credit. Store credit will be issued by Wednesday\, October 16th in a lump sum. If you sell $50.00 worth of games over the course of the weekend\, you’ll get a single gift card worth $50.00. \nThere is no limit to the number of games any one person can put up for sale. Any titles that did not sell over the weekend will be set aside and should be picked up by Friday\, October 18th. \nTo make things easy\, an ‘Entry Sheet’ can be found here: \nhttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1GjCEm8BkHQbzDg2iRJ57RKCAnpX8JRYp-FHHnp7uBf4/edit?usp=sharing \nHard copies of the form will also be available in the shop for those that need them. This form has all of the information that we will need from people looking to sell some games. On this sheet you’ll need to include your name\, some contact information\, the games that you’ll bring in to sell and how much you’d like to charge for them\, and a signature line stating that all of the pieces for each game that you’re bringing are all accounted for. After you’ve filled out the sheet\, bring it into the store with all of the games that you’re selling so that we can organize them and prep them for the sale. \nWe will start accepting used games on Tuesday\, September 17th\, and the cutoff for bringing in games is Friday\, October 4th. We will not be accepting games prior to\, or after these dates. A couple of days before the event\, we shall post a list of all of the games available for sale on our social media so that all you shoppers can prep accordingly. \nWe do get a long line of guests waiting at the door in the morning\, so if you’re looking for that specific game\, you might want to be here early! We will not be reserving any used games\, and coupons\, store credit\, or other discounts are not eligible to be used on these items.

SUMMARY:Magic: the Gathering Booster Draft
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our weekly Sunday booster draft event for Magic: Gathering. This is a sanctioned event by Wizards of the Coast. All players\, beginners and seasoned are welcome to come play. \nEntry for the event is $15.00\, three boosters and prize support. All players must have a DCI card\, which you can register for upon signing up. Please arrive 30 minutes early to register. The event lasts for four 45 minute rounds after drafting. \nIn a booster draft\, players are seated around a table and each player is given three booster packs. Each player opens a pack\, selects a card from it and passes the remaining cards face down to his or her left. Each player then selects one of the remaining cards from the pack that was just passed to him or her\, and passes the remaining cards to the left again. This continues until all of the cards are selected. The process is repeated with the second and third packs\, except that the cards are passed to the right in the second pack. Players then build decks out of any cards that they selected during the drafting and add as many basic lands as they choose. Each deck built this way must have a minimum of 40 cards\, including basic lands. Basic lands are provided. \nAfter deckbuilding\, the players are randomly matched up against an opponent and play a best two out of three games match. Players are awarded points for winning and will be matched against equally skilled players in the subsequent rounds. At the end of the tournament\, booster packs or store credit are rewarded to the top half of the players. \nParking is available in the Worth Lot behind the store for $1.50/hour\, with meters operating until 8:00pm. Candy and drinks are available in the store for purchase. You may bring your own food but please dispose of your trash properly. Thank you!
