DESCRIPTION:On April 4th\, 100 game stores across the country will host the inaugural Board Game Expo\, also known as BGX\, and Diversions is excited to participate! \nBrought to you by Gaming Days LLC\, the same team behind Free RPG Day\, BGX will be an epic in-store board game pre-release event for select retail locations. Participating stores will 11 yet-to-be-released board game titles in limited quantities available for purchase 30+ days prior to the game’s general release date (detailed descriptions of each game can be found at the BGX website\, https://boardgameexpo.com/): \nCosmic Encounter Duel (Fantasy Flight Games)\nTang Garden (Lucky Duck Games)\nDeep Vents (Red Raven Games)\nSimilo: Myths (Luma Imports)\nLooney Labs’ Tiny Box of Fun (Looney Labs)\nThe Mind Extreme (Pandasaurus Games)\nSanta Monica (AEG Games)\nSugar Blast (CMON)\nStampede (WizKids)\nSpace Battle Lunchtime Card Game (Renegade Games)\nSucculent (Renegade Games) \nGaming is open all day\, and we will have many of these games playable as demos and we will also be teaching a few of them as well! Between 2 and 4pm you will get to vote on your favorite BGX game and favorite baked good. A copy of the winning game will be given to a randomly selected voter! \n1:15: We’ll kick off our event with a showcase of Space Battle Lunchtime! Get ready for a food contest\, because you’ll be collecting flavors like succulent and savory\, piecing together the most amazing dishes. Bring that dish to one of the judges and they may help you further yourself in the competition. \n2:00: Let’s take a look at Deep Vents! Build your underwater ecosystem to withstand the dangers of the deep sea. As you build\, you’ll attack the other players\, so you have to decide with every tile purchase how much health that tile is worth. \n2:00: Bake-Off Begins! Details on how to enter the Bake-Off are below\, but everyone gets to be a judge! Starting at 2pm everyone in the store will get to sample the different Bake-Off submissions and enter their vote for the best baked good. \n2:45: The last showcase will be Succulent. Plant flowers while collecting petals and water droplets in the garden. Be rewarded based on where and how you place your new plants and spend what you’ve collected to get points! \nSome other games available to try out will be: Santa Monica\, Sugar Blast\, and Stampede. We will be adding a little something special as a thank you on purchases of any of these new titles during the day of this event. We hope to see you stop by and join in on the fun!\n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ \nAnnouncing the first ever Diversions Bake Off! \nThe winner of the bake-off gets to select a free copy of any of the 11 featured games! Participation is free\, and anyone is welcome to enter. No need to sign up ahead of time\, folks are welcome to bring in their entries between 1:45 and 2:00pm. Please check in with the Diversions staff with your contact information and any allergenic ingredients\, and then we’ll help you set up your display. \nBake Off Rules:\n1. You may enter whatever baked goods you would like\, however you must be able to feed 2 bakers dozens (26 People). If you happen to make cakes or pies\, please have them pre-cut to ensure that enough servings are available as well as be ready for easy serving.\n2. The theme is Diversions\, this can be board game\, puzzle\, brainteaser\, dice related or whatever else you come up with!\n3. Diversions isn’t the judge! Anyone who participates in the Game Day is welcome to try the desserts and vote for their favorite. Make a crowd-pleaser.\n4. What’s a contest without having the food displayed nicely? Arrange your cookies creatively on a wide platter\, or your cake proudly on a cake stand while being considerate of space for your competitors.\n5. Don’t forget to name your piece and list any allergenic ingredients on a small sign to go with your masterpiece\, folks will need to know how to vote for your dessert!

DESCRIPTION:The first Saturday of each month is late night gaming at Diversions Puzzles & Games! Bring your own games or choose games from our rotating library of strategy and family games. New players are welcome to join and learn new games to play! \nGaming will run from 5:00 PM until midnight! \nParking is available in the Worth Lot behind the store for $1.50/hour\, with meters operating until 8:00pm. Candy and drinks are available in the store for purchase. You may bring your own food but please dispose of your trash properly. Thank you!
