SUMMARY:Star Wars: Unlimited Draft
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Star Wars: Unlimited Draft! Entry for the event is $20\, payable when you arrive at the store before 5:00pm. Store credit/booster packs & weekly play promos will be given out for prize support. There is one booster pack (or store credit equivalent) in the prize pool for each participating player.\n\nThis event will consist of the draft/deckbuilding phase and three-rounds of play. A minimum of six players are needed for this event to take place.\n\nInformation about Draft:A popular format for weekly in-store events\, draft play involves you selecting (“drafting”) individual cards out of a limited pool of booster packs and then building your deck as you go. The nice thing about draft play is that everyone starts off on equal footing and must build their decks using whatever they can get!\nTo draft in Star Wars: Unlimited\, each player sits around a large table and opens three booster packs apiece. First\, everyone takes out the leader cards from those packs while keeping the remaining cards in their separate stacks (without looking at them).\n\nOnce everyone’s ready\, each player simultaneously chooses one of their three leaders to keep and passes the other two to the right. Then\, each player chooses one of the two leaders that were just passed to them and passes the other to the right. After this point\, everyone should have three leader cards: one that they started with\, and two that were passed to them.\n\nNext\, each player chooses one of the booster packs that they opened. The common base/token card from that pack is placed in a pile at the center of the table\, and then each player simultaneously chooses one card to keep from the pack before passing the other cards to the player on their left. They then draft their next card from the cards that were just passed to them. This continues until all cards from the first booster pack have been drafted.\nYou can probably see where this is going. After the first booster pack is done\, everyone repeats the process with their second pack\, except this time everybody passes their cards to the right. Once the second pack has been completely drafted\, the process repeats one more time\, this time passing everything to the left again.\n\nAt the end of this process\, each player should have drafted 45 cards (three leaders plus 42 other cards). These are the cards that they can now use to build their deck. The deckbuilding rules for draft (and sealed) play are slightly different from the normal rules:For starters\, a draw deck must have a minimum of 30 cards instead of the usual 50. In addition\, there’s no limit to how many copies of the same card a player can include in their deck. If someone drafts five copies of Cell Block Guard and wants to include all five in their deck\, they can do so!\n\nA player can use any of the three leaders that they drafted. Their base can be any common base from the set (regardless of the bases in the packs they opened)\, or it can be a rare base that they picked during the draft itself. Finally\, a player is free to change up their deck between rounds\, so long as they stick to the cards they drafted.

SUMMARY:Disney: Lorcana: Weekly Starter Deck League
DESCRIPTION:Shimmering Skies – League\, Play\, and Trade \nThursdays 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM\, August 22 -September 19 \nJoin us for Shimmering Skies – League\, Play\, and Trade! This is the perfect opportunity to learn how to play Disney: Lorcana\, experience the new sets cards\, and improve your deck construction skills. Show up anytime between 5:00pm and 9:00pm on league night to participate. \n  \nCost: Initial entry cost is $29.99 and each player will receive one starter deck of their choice from Shimmering Skies\, one deck box\, and one additional booster pack\, all of which is yours to keep at the end of league. \nIf you have a deck box from the previous league or want to bring your own\, the cost to enter will be $21.99. \nEach week thereafter the entry fee is $11.98 and includes 2 booster packs to trade and build your deck with. On the final week\, September 19\, we will have a constructed tournament where the entry fee of $11.98 will include one pack for your deck\, and one pack for the prize pool. \n  \nHow it Works:  Sign-ups are first come first serve until league is filled (16 players maximum) – call or sign-up in store. \nThe first week you will use your Starter Deck and pack to build a 60-card deck using all 6 colors. All other normal constructed rules apply.  Each week\, you will get one additional pack to add on to your deck\, or you can trade for cards you need with other players\, and you will use one less color in your deck. \nWe will trade and build\, and then play with other league players to earn points. Your league deck and cards will be stored at Diversions in your deck box. At the end of league\, you will take home your decks\, cards\, deck boxes\, and some fun goodies! \nAdditional guidelines: \n\nLeague points will only be earned with official League Decks. You are welcome to play constructed on league night to hone your tournament/championship decks\, but you will only earn league points for playing with league decks.\nOnly cards received as part of league weekly entry boosters can be added to an Official League Deck. These can be cards you opened in your pack\, or cards you traded with another league member from their league pack.\nFolks who wish to join late or who miss a week can catch up by back-paying weekly entry fees. For every back-paid entry\, they can earn up to the average of points earned by league members that week and receive that many booster packs to use for their decks.\n\n  \nLeague Rules: \n\nNo proxies are allowed in league games in which you earn points.\nCards from league packs may be traded with other players in-store. Selling or buying cards from players is prohibited for league decks.\nGood sportsmanship is expected.  This is a fun game!​\nYou must provide your email for your (Melee) account.  If you do not have one\, you will need to create one to participate in the League for our final tournament.\n\n  \nLeague Scoring: You will be awarded points on a league chart for playing games and completing other league activities. For each week you can earn the following points\, with a maximum of 10 points per week: \n\nWin a single match: 2 point\nLose a single match: 1 point\nTeach someone to play Lorcana in the store: 2 points\nPlay in a multiplayer game with 3-4 players: 2 points\nBring someone new to participate in the league: 1 point\nWear Lorcana or Disney themes apparel: 1 point\nPlay with Lorcana or Disney themed accessories: 1 point​\nIn addition\, we will have a BINGO card for each league member to score extra points.\nThe final tournament will award points based on final standings\, to be determined.\n\n​Prizing \nEnd-of-league prizing TBD. \n​ \n

DESCRIPTION:Join us for Star Wars: Unlimited Constructed Tournaments\, every other Thursday! Entry to this event is $4.99 per person – payable in-store prior to the start of the event.\n\nThe primary format of Star Wars: Unlimited\, Premier is a constructed format that truly embodies the “unlimited” nature of the game by allowing you to build a deck using any of the cards in your collection. This means that you’ll be able to truly express yourself by crafting a deck that perfectly fits your preferred playstyle and strategies.\n\nThis event operates under the following rules:\n\nYour deck must consist of exactly one leader\, exactly one base\, and a minimum 50-card draw deck. Your draw deck cannot include more than three copies of any one card.\nThere are no sideboards for this event.\nIn this event\, players will play matches in the “best-of-one” format\, with each match lasting 30 minutes.\nThe winner of the one game will be the winner of the match.\nEach tournament will consist of 3-4 rounds\, depending on the number of players.\n\n\nBooster packs will be awarded to the top placed players at the end of each event. Official Weekly Promo packs will be given out to all players.\n\n\nWhere can I park?\n-Free parking is available at the Masonic Temple Lot at the corner of Middle St & Miller St (5-minute walk)-Parking is available at the Foundry Garage for $1/hr (6-minute walk)-Parking is available directly behind the store in the Worth Lot for $2/hr for the first three hours\, and $5/hr each hour after.
