It started with just a few people meeting up to play games on Friday evenings\, a night that was open on our events calendar. Within a few weeks the word got out that games were going on and soon it was filled up every Friday with happy gamers\, even though the event wasn’t on the calendar….so we added it!

SUMMARY:Star Wars: Unlimited: Twilight of the Republic Prerelease
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Star Wars: Unlimited Prerelease event for the new set\, Twilight of the Republic!\n\n\nThis event will take place on Friday\, November 1 and Thursday\, November 7 @ 5:00pm. Advanced seat reservation is required to participate\, available on Eventbrite. $29.99 will be due in-store on the day of the event. There is a maximum of 16 players for each day.\n\n\nGeneral reservations are open Friday\, October 18 @ 9:00am. Early reservation is open to our Weekly Play customers now through Friday\, October 18 @ 9:00am.\n\n\nSeat reservations:Fri Nov 1: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1035063230987Thu Nov 7: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1035075327167\n\n\nYou will receive your Prerelease Kit upon arrival for the event. Promos & packs will be distributed at the end of the event. This is a Sealed Play event. There will be one round of deckbuilding with your prerelease kit and three rounds of Swiss-tournament play.\n\n\nWhat is Sealed Play?The format of Prerelease events\, sealed play combines the limited card pool aspect of draft play with the more open-ended deckbuilding approach of constructed play. Like draft play\, everyone starts the event off on equal footing\, and like constructed play\, this format gives you the opportunity to let your deckbuilding skills shine.\nAt the beginning of a sealed play event\, you open six booster packs. You must use the cards within those packs to build a deck. Just like in draft play\, your minimum draw deck size is 30 cards\, and you can include any number of copies of a card as you want (so long as they were all acquired within those six booster packs). Also like with draft\, you can use any common base you want\, regardless of what was in your packs. However\, if you want to use a rare base\, it must have been one of the cards from those six packs.\nFor leader cards\, you typically will only be able to use the ones from your packs\, just like with everything else. However\, for prerelease events in which you utilize a Prerelease Box\, the promo leader cards that come in that box are also available as options for your sealed deck.\nLike with draft\, you can change up the contents of your sealed play deck in between rounds as much as you like\, so long as you only utilize the cards that were in your six booster packs.\nThere you have it. Sealed play is fantastic for testing your deckbuilding skills while also growing your collection. And since prerelease events for each set feature this format\, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to try out sealed play for yourself each time a new set comes along!\n\n\nPlease contact the store if you have any questions!
