SUMMARY:Magic: the Gathering Booster Draft
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our weekly booster draft for Magic: Gathering. This is a sanctioned event through Wizards of the Coast. All players\, beginners and seasoned are welcome to come play! Players must pay and register in the store by 11:45AM.\n\n\n\nEntry for the event is $20\, three booster packss and one entry fee. All players must have a Wizards Account with a valid email address. You can create an account here: https://myaccounts.wizards.com/register\n\n\n\n\nIn a booster draft\, players are seated around a table and each player is given three booster packs. Each player opens a pack\, selects a card from it and passes the remaining cards face down to his or her left. Each player then selects one of the remaining cards from the pack that was just passed to him or her\, and passes the remaining cards to the left again. This continues until all of the cards are selected. The process is repeated with the second and third packs\, except that the cards are passed to the right in the second pack. Players then build decks out of any cards that they selected during the drafting and add as many basic lands as they choose. Each deck built this way must have a minimum of 40 cards\, including basic lands. Basic lands are provided.\n\n\n\n\nAfter deckbuilding\, the players are randomly matched up against an opponent and play a best two out of three games match. Players are awarded points for winning and will be matched against equally skilled players in the subsequent rounds. SUMMARY:Virtual Game Night: Intro to Dungeons and Dragons
DESCRIPTION:This is the perfect way to try out Dungeons and Dragons for the first time! Drew will be running one-shot\, intro adventures for the Diversions community. All characters will start at level 1 and we will have pre-generated characters available for folks who aren’t able to create one ahead of time.\n\nThe sessions will take place on Roll20\, a website designed for virtually playing role-playing games. You will need to create a free count on this website to participate in the event. The voice chat will be run over Zoom\, which can run through your internet browser or on a free app downloaded to your computer. A microphone will be necessary as well\, a camera is optional. Please have these set-up ahead of time\, we will be able to provide limited support to help with this.\n\nThere is a limit of 6 participants per session and advance sign-up is required\, please email Stefan at sdutka@diversionsgames.com with the date of the session you are interested in\, your name\, and your Roll20 account username. Priority will be given to those who haven’t participated before. These sessions are free to participate in and are expected to last about 3 hours.

This auction is completely online so you can participate from the comfort of your own home! \nThe auction will be live from Friday\, April 23 at 12:00pm EDT through Sunday\, April 25 at 7:00pm EDT. The auction will be held on a third-party auction website and will be posted on Friday\, April 23. Interested bidders do not need to pre-register for the auction. \n  \n  \nAll sellers must complete this submission form to sell games in the auction: https://forms.gle/2HnGF1d4wjB1Wf5j7 Once the form is complete\, sellers may drop off their games at Diversions in Portsmouth between Monday\, March 29 and Sunday\, April 11. Sellers will receive a Diversions gift card for each game of theirs which sold with the highest bid amount collected for each game. Credit earned from the auction sales cannot be used on other games within the auction as we will not issue sellers’ credit until all payments have been collected. \n  \n  \nGames in the auction will have a minimum starting bid determined by the seller. New bids must be submitted in whole dollar amounts with a minimum increase of $1.00. Each game will have one photo with corresponding details about the game including the condition of the game and any extras/add-ons. Sellers may not bid on their own games. DESCRIPTION:We are bringing back the Virtual Used Game Auction! We won’t be able to host the event as we have traditionally in the first half of the year. The sale will take place over a weekend\, 9am on March 6th to 5pm on March 7th\, on Facebook. To participate in the sale we will need your contact info\, please fill out the form at the link below. At the end of the sale we will ignore any bids that we do not have contact info for.\nhttps://forms.gle/AFGvXA3fPYDzQciB7\n\n\nAll the games will be in an album on Facebook with their name\, condition\, and starting bid (the price set by the person who dropped it off). Starting at 9am on March 6th you can comment on the photo of an item with your bid\, as long as it is equal to the starting bid (for the initial bid) or higher than all previous bids (for subsequent bids). Any new bids must be at least $1 higher than the previous bid. Any edited comments will be disregarded. Bidding will close at 5pm on Sunday\, March 7th.\n\n\nTo help you keep track of activity on games you are interested in\, we highly recommend that you ensure that notifications are turned on for each game’s photo. On desktop and mobile: when viewing a game’s photo\, select the icon with three dots in the upper right corner of your browser window or phone screen\, about halfway down this list\, look for the option to “Turn on notifications for this post.” This will help you keep track of new bids on games as they occur. During the last sale\, the most common problem encountered was that not everyone would see the highest bid on an item. Be sure that when you look at the comments\, you change the setting from “Most Relevant” to “Newest” to ensure that you see the most recent bid.\n\nAny bid you place might be the highest and final bid on that game which commits you to that purchase\, please consider that as you place bids. Everyone who participates in the sale must fill out contact form at the link above.\n\n\nWe will do our best to answer your questions about the games\, but we expect it will be very busy and we may not get to every question. DESCRIPTION:Join us from home for a virtual Codenames tournament hosted by Diversions Puzzles & Games! Sign-ups and a registration fee are required to participate. (Registration info below)\n\n\n\nUp to sixteen teams will compete to prove themselves the Codenames champions! Each team must have exactly two players and be available to play every Thursday night for up to eight weeks. Tournament matches will be conducted once a week on Thursday evenings for the duration of the tournament. Teams must register and pay before Sunday\, January 24. Round 1 matches begin Thursday\, January 28. The full duration of the tournament will go into March for teams who progress towards the finals.\nThe registration fee is $10.00 per team and must be paid prior to Week 1 of the tournament. 100% of the registration fees will be converted into Diversions gift cards for prizes for the top two teams (redeemable at either store). The amount will vary based on the number of participating teams. The maximum prize with full participation is $50 per player on the winning team and $30 per player for the second-place team.\n\n\n\n\n**HOW IT WORKS**\n\nThis tournament will be run as a double-elimination bracket tournament.
