SUMMARY:Magic: the Gathering Booster Draft
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our weekly Sunday booster draft event for Magic: Gathering. This is a sanctioned event by Wizards of the Coast. All players\, beginners and seasoned are welcome to come play. \nEntry for the event is $15.00\, three boosters and prize support. All players must have a DCI card\, which you can register for upon signing up. Please arrive 30 minutes early to register. The event lasts for four 45 minute rounds after drafting. \nIn a booster draft\, players are seated around a table and each player is given three booster packs. Each player opens a pack\, selects a card from it and passes the remaining cards face down to his or her left. Each player then selects one of the remaining cards from the pack that was just passed to him or her\, and passes the remaining cards to the left again. This continues until all of the cards are selected. The process is repeated with the second and third packs\, except that the cards are passed to the right in the second pack. Players then build decks out of any cards that they selected during the drafting and add as many basic lands as they choose. Each deck built this way must have a minimum of 40 cards\, including basic lands. Basic lands are provided. \nAfter deckbuilding\, the players are randomly matched up against an opponent and play a best two out of three games match. Players are awarded points for winning and will be matched against equally skilled players in the subsequent rounds. At the end of the tournament\, booster packs or store credit are rewarded to the top half of the players. \nParking is available in the Worth Lot behind the store for $1.50/hour\, with meters operating until 8:00pm. Candy and drinks are available in the store for purchase. You may bring your own food but please dispose of your trash properly. Thank you!

SUMMARY:Keyforge Monthly Archon Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The last Saturday of each month will be an Archon Tournament for Keyforge. Bring in your strongest or favorite deck and test it amongst other players. \nTo sign up for the tournament\, there is an entry fee of $5 per player. Each player is required to be connected to the Keyforge App/website via their own account. This is necessary for tournament registration. If you don’t have a phone with you we can log you in here. \nYour deck must include your deck list card (your deck unaltered)\, and must be sleeved using opaque sleeves. You must also use tokens and a chain tracker\, no dice are allowed to be used (via Fantasy Flight’s official Keyforge Tournament rules). \nTournaments are a Swiss format\, ranging from 3-4 rounds depending on the number of participants. Each round lasts 35 minutes\, and if time is called before a game ends\, we will follow tie breaker regulations. If there are an odd number of players\, each round\, someone will be given a bye\, meaning a free win for that round. Top players will win prizes. Prize support may include store credit given in the form as a gift card\, as well as occasional official Keyforge Products.

DESCRIPTION:We want to step up our number of Keyforge events\, and it occured to us that a lot of players have their favorite decks\, however they don’t get to play with them often enough. Our goal is to gather a community of players\, find a day that works for many of them\, and get them together more often to play. \nThere will be a large Archon tournament at the end of every month\, as well as an occasional pop up Sealed Event every once in a while\, so keep checking on our events. \nFor open play\, we will have players keep track of their games played using these sheets: https://images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com/filer_public/75/78/7578dec4-bbc3-45fb-9c95-1450be2bb41f/g19k1_digitalsignup_ffg.pdf \nEvery 3 games played\, you get a monthly promo card given to us from Fantasy Flight. These promos are usually alternatives to the tokens that are usually used with the game. \nOpen play will turn into occasional league play if/when we get enough recurring players. Leagues are open play mixed with tournaments\, where players buy in\, and we keep track of wins and losses throughout 3-4 weeks\, and the highest performing player(s) get prizes ranging from exclusive playmats to Diversions store credit.

DESCRIPTION:Cosmic Eclipse Releases in November and we got kits for 10 players available. The entry fee is $20 and this includes your kit as well as prizes. Only 10 players are allowed in this event/tournament\, and if you are interested\, please preregister in store with your payment. We will announce when this event is sold out. \nThis event will be a sealed tournament\, where 10 players will purchase a kit which includes: Four 10-card booster packs and a 23-card Evolution pack (including 1 of 4 exclusive foil promo cards). You will receive one of four variations\, each with its own set of Pokémon evolution lines and Trainer cards. \nFrom these packs\, and the basic lands provided by us\, each player will build a 40 card deck. Unlike a normal Pokémon TCG deck\, you can build a deck with more than four cards of the same card name! However\, you can’t have more than one of the same Prism Star Pokémon or Trainer card in your deck. \nPrize support for this tournament comes in the form of booster packs from the new set. \nBe sure to bring your own chits\, dice\, and coins for your games. Feel free to buy sleeves from us if you prefer to sleeve your deck as well.

SUMMARY:Magic: the Gathering Booster Draft
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our weekly Sunday booster draft event for Magic: Gathering. This is a sanctioned event by Wizards of the Coast. All players\, beginners and seasoned are welcome to come play. \nEntry for the event is $15.00\, three boosters and prize support. All players must have a DCI card\, which you can register for upon signing up. Please arrive 30 minutes early to register. The event lasts for four 45 minute rounds after drafting. \nIn a booster draft\, players are seated around a table and each player is given three booster packs. Each player opens a pack\, selects a card from it and passes the remaining cards face down to his or her left. Each player then selects one of the remaining cards from the pack that was just passed to him or her\, and passes the remaining cards to the left again. This continues until all of the cards are selected. The process is repeated with the second and third packs\, except that the cards are passed to the right in the second pack. Players then build decks out of any cards that they selected during the drafting and add as many basic lands as they choose. Each deck built this way must have a minimum of 40 cards\, including basic lands. Basic lands are provided. \nAfter deckbuilding\, the players are randomly matched up against an opponent and play a best two out of three games match. Players are awarded points for winning and will be matched against equally skilled players in the subsequent rounds. At the end of the tournament\, booster packs or store credit are rewarded to the top half of the players. \nParking is available in the Worth Lot behind the store for $1.50/hour\, with meters operating until 8:00pm. Leagues are open play mixed with tournaments\, where players buy in\, and we keep track of wins and losses throughout 3-4 weeks\, and the highest performing player(s) get prizes ranging from exclusive playmats to Diversions store credit.

DESCRIPTION:This is a free event\, and the game is quick and fun to learn so if you’ve never played\, hang out before the tournament and play a game or 2. \nTournament starts at 12pm. How we do this tournament depends on the number of competitors. It will most likely be a 3 round Round Robin tournament\, and if there are a large number of players\, it will turn into a bracket from there. \nExample of tournament: If there are 8 players\, we will have a 3 round tournament\, where players will try to win as many rounds as they can. From there the top 4 performing players will create an elimination bracket\, where we will do a semi finals\, and then a final match. \nThe top 2 players will each get an exclusive bag of metal coins.\nWe also have 6 metal military tokens\, and multiple promo wonder cards to give out to players.

DESCRIPTION:The Used Board Game Sale will take place all weekend long\, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Saturday\, and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday. \nAnyone who has something in their personal libraries that they’re looking to trade out for something new will be able to bring it to the shop\, set the price they’d like to sell it for\, then browse all of the games that others have brought in and find something new. Once you have dropped off your games at the store they cannot be picked up until after the sale\, make sure you’re ready to say goodbye! \nAny game that you bring in that is sold will earn you store credit equal to the price you set for it. Want to sell a copy of Catan for $10.00? If someone buys it\, you’ll get $10.00 in Diversions store credit. Store credit will be issued by Wednesday\, October 16th in a lump sum. If you sell $50.00 worth of games over the course of the weekend\, you’ll get a single gift card worth $50.00. \nThere is no limit to the number of games any one person can put up for sale. SUMMARY:D&D: Adventurer's League
DESCRIPTION:D&D Adventurers League is a weekly event at Diversions\, featuring an ongoing campaign or one shot adventures for Dungeons & Dragons. It uses the fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons rules\, and features the Forgotten Realms setting. Players use the fifth edition rules to create a character and bring that character to games anywhere D&D Adventurers League play is happening. \nAs a player\, all you need to do is make a character and show up and play (with dice)! Character creation is easy. You’ll need either a Player’s Handbook or a copy of the D&D Basic Rules\, and a D&D Adventurers League character logsheet. Pre-generated character sheets can be provided if you wish to not build your own character. Basic rules and character sheets can be found here: http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/character_sheets \nSign ups for the event are facilitated through Warhorn.net. Follow this link and make an account to sign up for a seat in the event.
