SUMMARY:Star Wars: Unlimited Draft
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Star Wars: Unlimited Draft! Entry for the event is $20\, payable when you arrive at the store before 5:00pm. Store credit/booster packs & weekly play promos will be given out for prize support. There is one booster pack (or store credit equivalent) in the prize pool for each participating player.\n\nThis event will consist of the draft/deckbuilding phase and three-rounds of play. A minimum of six players are needed for this event to take place.\n\nInformation about Draft:A popular format for weekly in-store events\, draft play involves you selecting (“drafting”) individual cards out of a limited pool of booster packs and then building your deck as you go. The nice thing about draft play is that everyone starts off on equal footing and must build their decks using whatever they can get!\nTo draft in Star Wars: Unlimited\, each player sits around a large table and opens three booster packs apiece. First\, everyone takes out the leader cards from those packs while keeping the remaining cards in their separate stacks (without looking at them).\n\nOnce everyone’s ready\, each player simultaneously chooses one of their three leaders to keep and passes the other two to the right. Then\, each player chooses one of the two leaders that were just passed to them and passes the other to the right. After this point\, everyone should have three leader cards: one that they started with\, and two that were passed to them.\n\nNext\, each player chooses one of the booster packs that they opened. The common base/token card from that pack is placed in a pile at the center of the table\, and then each player simultaneously chooses one card to keep from the pack before passing the other cards to the player on their left. They then draft their next card from the cards that were just passed to them. This continues until all cards from the first booster pack have been drafted.\nYou can probably see where this is going. After the first booster pack is done\, everyone repeats the process with their second pack\, except this time everybody passes their cards to the right. Once the second pack has been completely drafted\, the process repeats one more time\, this time passing everything to the left again.\n\nAt the end of this process\, each player should have drafted 45 cards (three leaders plus 42 other cards). These are the cards that they can now use to build their deck. The deckbuilding rules for draft (and sealed) play are slightly different from the normal rules:For starters\, a draw deck must have a minimum of 30 cards instead of the usual 50. In addition\, there’s no limit to how many copies of the same card a player can include in their deck. If someone drafts five copies of Cell Block Guard and wants to include all five in their deck\, they can do so!\n\nA player can use any of the three leaders that they drafted. Their base can be any common base from the set (regardless of the bases in the packs they opened)\, or it can be a rare base that they picked during the draft itself. Finally\, a player is free to change up their deck between rounds\, so long as they stick to the cards they drafted.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Star Wars: Unlimited tournament! Entry for this tournament is $19.96 per person plus fees. Registration is accepted on Eventbrite with a max of 24 participants. Tickets go on sale Saturday\, July 13 @ 9:00am.\nThis tournament will be held in the Premier Constructed format (1 v 1). Players must bring a deck from home that is already built with opaque sleeve backs. All sleeves must match.\n\n\nThe primary format of Star Wars: Unlimited\, Premier is a constructed format that truly embodies the “unlimited” nature of the game by allowing you to build a deck using any of the cards in your collection. This means that you’ll be able to truly express yourself by crafting a deck that perfectly fits your preferred playstyle and strategies.\n\n\nThe Premier format operates under the following rules:Your deck must consist of exactly one leader\, exactly one base\, and a minimum 50-card draw deck. You can also have a sideboard of up to 10 non-leader\, non-base cards.Your draw deck cannot include more than three copies of any one card.\nIn official Organized Play events\, the winner of a Premier match is determined by best-of-three games. Each game should take an average of 20 minutes to complete.\n\nThe tournament will consist of five rounds. Each round is 55 minutes in length. During each round\, players will play a “best-of-three” match. During best-of-three match play\, the first person to win two games (by destroying their opponent’s base) is the winner of the match. If time is called before either player has won two games\, players continue play until the end of the next action phase (if the game is in the regroup phase when time is called\, then the upcoming action phase will be the last phase played). At that point\, the player with the most games won is the winner of the match. If players are tied for number of games won\, then both players receive a loss for the match. If time is called between games during a best-of-three match and players are tied for number of games won\, then both players receive a loss for the match. If neither player wins two games\, then both players will receive a match loss.After five rounds\, players with the Top 8 standings will advance to bracket-style\, single-elimination rounds. Participation in the auction will be held on a third-party website and will be posted & shared via Facebook & e-mail on Friday\, August 9th at 12:00pm.\n\nAll sellers must complete this submission form to sell games in the auction: https://forms.gle/LEgEvey6RyfSRLko7\nOnce the form is complete\, sellers may drop off their games at Diversions in South Portland between Monday\, July 1st and Sunday\, July 28th.\n\nSellers will receive Diversions store credit for each game of theirs which sold at the highest paid bid. Credit earned from the auction sales cannot be used on other games within the auction.\n\nGames in the auction will have a minimum starting bid determined by the seller. New bids must be submitted in whole dollar amounts with a minimum increase of $1.00. Each game will have one photo with corresponding details about the game including the condition of the game and any extras/add-ons. Sellers may not bid on their own games. All bids are final\, be prepared to pay for any bid you submit.\n\nPlease bid at your own risk. While we have required all games to be complete without missing or damaged pieces\, we cannot verify any details about the contents of the games. We cannot field questions about the contents or conditions of individual games.
