SUMMARY:Star Wars: Unlimited Draft
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Star Wars: Unlimited Draft! Entry for the event is $20\, payable when you arrive at the store before 5:00pm. Store credit/booster packs & weekly play promos will be given out for prize support. There is one booster pack (or store credit equivalent) in the prize pool for each participating player.\n\nThis event will consist of the draft/deckbuilding phase and three-rounds of play. A minimum of six players are needed for this event to take place.\n\nInformation about Draft:A popular format for weekly in-store events\, draft play involves you selecting (“drafting”) individual cards out of a limited pool of booster packs and then building your deck as you go. The nice thing about draft play is that everyone starts off on equal footing and must build their decks using whatever they can get!\nTo draft in Star Wars: Unlimited\, each player sits around a large table and opens three booster packs apiece. First\, everyone takes out the leader cards from those packs while keeping the remaining cards in their separate stacks (without looking at them).\n\nOnce everyone’s ready\, each player simultaneously chooses one of their three leaders to keep and passes the other two to the right. Then\, each player chooses one of the two leaders that were just passed to them and passes the other to the right. After this point\, everyone should have three leader cards: one that they started with\, and two that were passed to them.\n\nNext\, each player chooses one of the booster packs that they opened. The common base/token card from that pack is placed in a pile at the center of the table\, and then each player simultaneously chooses one card to keep from the pack before passing the other cards to the player on their left. They then draft their next card from the cards that were just passed to them. This continues until all cards from the first booster pack have been drafted.\nYou can probably see where this is going. After the first booster pack is done\, everyone repeats the process with their second pack\, except this time everybody passes their cards to the right. Once the second pack has been completely drafted\, the process repeats one more time\, this time passing everything to the left again.\n\nAt the end of this process\, each player should have drafted 45 cards (three leaders plus 42 other cards). These are the cards that they can now use to build their deck. The deckbuilding rules for draft (and sealed) play are slightly different from the normal rules:For starters\, a draw deck must have a minimum of 30 cards instead of the usual 50. In addition\, there’s no limit to how many copies of the same card a player can include in their deck. If someone drafts five copies of Cell Block Guard and wants to include all five in their deck\, they can do so!\n\nA player can use any of the three leaders that they drafted. Their base can be any common base from the set (regardless of the bases in the packs they opened)\, or it can be a rare base that they picked during the draft itself. Finally\, a player is free to change up their deck between rounds\, so long as they stick to the cards they drafted.

Choose among different factions and heroes the ones that allow you to build the most synergistic deck while also including your most powerful and versatile cards. \nSealed Deck is a fun and refreshing way to experience Altered and one of the best means to discover and start collecting a new set. \nAs a limited format\, Sealed Deck doesn’t require you to build a deck beforehand. \n**Setting up an Altered Sealed Deck**\nSealed Decks are played 1v1 but can welcome any number of players. Each player receives 7 Altered booster packs. Players must build decks using only the cards within those packs.\nSealed decks must be at least 30 cards following the deck building instructions below. \nAfter deck construction\, players face one-another in a series of swiss rounds. \n**Sealed Deck Construction Rules**\nPlayers build decks out of their pools of cards. Each player must construct a deck of at least 30 cards\, which may include a Hero card. \nLimited decks in Altered must adopt the following guidelines: \n-A deck must contain a minimum of 30 cards.\n-Token cards do not count towards the deck minimum. If you have token cards to go with your deck\, they start outside of your deck.\n-You may play cards from up to three different factions.\n-A deck can include a Hero card. If so\, it counts toward the 30 cards minimum.\n-Your Hero must be from one of the factions in your deck.\n-You may choose to not play a Hero card.\n-There are no restrictions on the number of cards with the same name that you can play in your deck.\n-There are no restrictions on the number or rare or unique cards you can play in your deck. \n**What are Mana Convergence cards?**\nMana Convergence cards are cards that appear in the token slot of some booster packs. If you’re unable to play 30 cards in your deck (because you have less than 30 cards among the three factions you’ve chosen in your pool of drafted cards)\, you’ll need to fill out the rest of the slots with Mana Convergence tokens until you reach at least 30 cards in your deck. Like all token cards\, they can be used from anywhere\, not just those in the drafted booster. \nMana Convergence tokens act as any card in your deck\, but: \nThey can not be played in any other zone than the mana zone by their owner.\nThey cannot be played in an Expedition\, Reserve or Landmark area\nThey can be affected by card effects such as “Discard a card to do X” or “Your opponent discards a card” and are counted as a card for any other purpose like “I gain X boosts based on the number of cards in your discard pile”. \n**Frequently Asked Questions** \nDo I have to play a Hero card in my deck?\nYou are not required to play a Hero card as a part of your deck in limited formats like Booster Draft\, but it is often better to play one in one of the factions of your deck than not play one at all. \nWhen should I scan my cards and add them to my digital collection?\nDuring deck building\, any time before you play against your first opponent\, unless stated differently by the event organizer. \nCan I change my deck between games?\nPlayers may freely change their deck using their pool of opened cards between games while playing limited formats. \n

SUMMARY:Star Wars: Unlimited Booster Draft
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Star Wars: Unlimited Draft! Entry for the event is $20\, payable when you arrive at the store. Store credit/booster packs will be given out for prize support. There is one booster pack (or store credit equivalent) in the prize pool for each participating player.\n\nThis event will consist of the draft/deckbuilding phase (30 minutes) and three rounds of play (50 minutes\, best-of-3). A minimum of six players are needed for this event to take place.\n\n\n\nReserve your spot on Melee: https://melee.gg/Tournament/View/153671\n\n\n\nInformation about Draft:A popular format for weekly in-store events\, draft play involves you selecting (“drafting”) individual cards out of a limited pool of booster packs and then building your deck as you go. The nice thing about draft play is that everyone starts off on equal footing and must build their decks using whatever they can get!\nTo draft in Star Wars: Unlimited\, each player sits around a large table and opens three booster packs apiece. First\, everyone takes out the leader cards from those packs while keeping the remaining cards in their separate stacks (without looking at them).\n\nOnce everyone’s ready\, each player simultaneously chooses one of their three leaders to keep and passes the other two to the right. Then\, each player chooses one of the two leaders that were just passed to them and passes the other to the right. After this point\, everyone should have three leader cards: one that they started with\, and two that were passed to them.\n\nNext\, each player chooses one of the booster packs that they opened. The common base/token card from that pack is placed in a pile at the center of the table\, and then each player simultaneously chooses one card to keep from the pack before passing the other cards to the player on their left. They then draft their next card from the cards that were just passed to them. This continues until all cards from the first booster pack have been drafted.\nYou can probably see where this is going. After the first booster pack is done\, everyone repeats the process with their second pack\, except this time everybody passes their cards to the right. Once the second pack has been completely drafted\, the process repeats one more time\, this time passing everything to the left again.\n\nAt the end of this process\, each player should have drafted 45 cards (three leaders plus 42 other cards). These are the cards that they can now use to build their deck. The deckbuilding rules for draft (and sealed) play are slightly different from the normal rules:For starters\, a draw deck must have a minimum of 30 cards instead of the usual 50. In addition\, there’s no limit to how many copies of the same card a player can include in their deck. If someone drafts five copies of Cell Block Guard and wants to include all five in their deck\, they can do so!\n\nA player can use any of the three leaders that they drafted. Their base can be any common base from the set (regardless of the bases in the packs they opened)\, or it can be a rare base that they picked during the draft itself. Finally\, a player is free to change up their deck between rounds\, so long as they stick to the cards they drafted.
