DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Star Wars: Unlimited Draft! Entry for the event is $20\, payable when you arrive at the store before 5:00pm. Store credit/booster packs & weekly play promos will be given out for prize support. There is one booster pack (or store credit equivalent) in the prize pool for each participating player.\n\nThis event will consist of the draft/deckbuilding phase and three-rounds of play. A minimum of six players are needed for this event to take place.\n\nInformation about Draft:A popular format for weekly in-store events\, draft play involves you selecting (“drafting”) individual cards out of a limited pool of booster packs and then building your deck as you go. The nice thing about draft play is that everyone starts off on equal footing and must build their decks using whatever they can get!\nTo draft in Star Wars: Unlimited\, each player sits around a large table and opens three booster packs apiece. First\, everyone takes out the leader cards from those packs while keeping the remaining cards in their separate stacks (without looking at them).\n\nOnce everyone’s ready\, each player simultaneously chooses one of their three leaders to keep and passes the other two to the right. Then\, each player chooses one of the two leaders that were just passed to them and passes the other to the right. After this point\, everyone should have three leader cards: one that they started with\, and two that were passed to them.\n\nNext\, each player chooses one of the booster packs that they opened. The common base/token card from that pack is placed in a pile at the center of the table\, and then each player simultaneously chooses one card to keep from the pack before passing the other cards to the player on their left. They then draft their next card from the cards that were just passed to them. This continues until all cards from the first booster pack have been drafted.\nYou can probably see where this is going. After the first booster pack is done\, everyone repeats the process with their second pack\, except this time everybody passes their cards to the right. Once the second pack has been completely drafted\, the process repeats one more time\, this time passing everything to the left again.\n\nAt the end of this process\, each player should have drafted 45 cards (three leaders plus 42 other cards). These are the cards that they can now use to build their deck. The deckbuilding rules for draft (and sealed) play are slightly different from the normal rules:For starters\, a draw deck must have a minimum of 30 cards instead of the usual 50. In addition\, there’s no limit to how many copies of the same card a player can include in their deck. If someone drafts five copies of Cell Block Guard and wants to include all five in their deck\, they can do so!\n\nA player can use any of the three leaders that they drafted. Their base can be any common base from the set (regardless of the bases in the packs they opened)\, or it can be a rare base that they picked during the draft itself. Choose among different factions and heroes the ones that allow you to build the most synergistic deck while also including your most powerful and versatile cards. \nSealed Deck is a fun and refreshing way to experience Altered and one of the best means to discover and start collecting a new set. \nAs a limited format\, Sealed Deck doesn’t require you to build a deck beforehand. \n**Setting up an Altered Sealed Deck**\nSealed Decks are played 1v1 but can welcome any number of players. Each player receives 7 Altered booster packs. Players must build decks using only the cards within those packs.\nSealed decks must be at least 30 cards following the deck building instructions below. \nAfter deck construction\, players face one-another in a series of swiss rounds. \n**Sealed Deck Construction Rules**\nPlayers build decks out of their pools of cards. Each player must construct a deck of at least 30 cards\, which may include a Hero card. \nLimited decks in Altered must adopt the following guidelines: \n-A deck must contain a minimum of 30 cards.\n-Token cards do not count towards the deck minimum. Join Diversions Puzzles & Games on Sunday\, October 13 for our Disney Lorcana: Shimmering Skies Set Championship! \nRegistration: \nRegistration is $20 per person. Ticket reservations will be available for League Members on Friday\, September 6 and any remaining available tickets will be available for reservation on Friday\, September 27 for the general public. Registration is online only. Limit 1 ticket reserved per person. Tickets will be paid at the time of check-in on site the day of the event. Maximum event capacity is 24 players. Reserve tickets here: https://shorturl.at/lywyZ  \n  \nFormat and Deck Info: \nThis tournament is in the Constructed (Core) format. Each player must bring one deck to the event which they have built ahead of time. Constructed decks must contain at least 60 cards. There is no maximum deck size\, but a player must be able to shuffle their deck in a timely manner without assistance. Constructed decks must not contain cards from more than two ink colors. For example\, if a deck contains Amber and Amethyst cards\, it must not contain any Emerald\, Ruby\, Sapphire\, or Steel cards. Constructed decks must not contain more than four of a single card as identified by its full English card name. Character cards with different subtitles are considered different cards for purposes of this rule. For example\, a deck may contain up to four copies of Ariel – On Human Legs as well as up to four copies of Ariel – Spectacular Singer. Cards from The First Chapter\, Rise of the Floodborn\, Into the Inklands\, Ursula’s Return\, and Shimmering Skies are legal for play in this tournament. You must use the same deck for the duration of the event. \nDecklist registration will be required. Please submit a hardcopy at the time of in-store check-in. \nThis is a Swiss-style tournament\, with 50-minute rounds in a Best-of-3 format. The number of rounds in the tournament will be dependent on the number of attendees. \n8 players: 3 rounds\, no cut \n9-16 players: 4 rounds\, cut to top 4 \n17-32 players: 5 rounds\, cut to top 8 \nPlayoff rounds will be played after the Swiss rounds including players with the highest standings. The playoffs are single-elimination rounds until one undefeated player is remaining as the tournament champion. Eight players are required for the tournament to run. \n  \nPrizing:\nAn addition to the official prizing\, two booster packs will be included in the prize pool for each registered player in the event and distributed amongst the top 8 players.
