DESCRIPTION:Come join Chits and Bits for some Crits & Hits in support of The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center. Bring your normal gaming group and continue on your quest\, join a new party for a quick mission or start a new campaign all #FTK! \n  \nCheat packs will be available to help you along your way. Rerolls\, boosts\, items\, and who knows what else just might help you on your way. Cheat packs are $5 each and all proceeds will go towards our 2019 Extra Life efforts. Pizza will be provided in the early afternoon for players\, and the schedule of events can be found below: \n  \n11:00am to 1:00pm: Intro to Role-Playing Games for Kids \nJoin experienced Game Master Jeff in an introduction to role-playing games for kids ages 6 and up! Using a simple d6 (six-sided die) system\, kids will learn the basics of group storytelling\, dice-rolling for decision-making\, and other fundamentals. Parents are welcome to join as well. \n  \n11:00am to 4:00pm: Star Wars: Edge of the Empire \nParticipate in grim and gritty adventures in places where morality is gray and nothing certain. Ply your trade as a smuggler in the Outer Rim\, collect bounties on the scum that live in the shadows of Coruscant\, or try to establish a new colony on a planet beneath the Empire’s notice… \n  \nIf you have Star Wars RPG Dice\, please bring these for the event. There is also a link in the Resources section at the bottom of this page for an app you can download instead of using dice. \n  \n12:00pm: Dice Swap \nBring in any dice that you’re looking to swap and meet with other gamers in this unfacilitated dice swap. \n  \n2:00pm to 5:00pm: Dungeons & Dragons \nAt its core\, Dungeons & Dragons is a cooperative story-telling game\, where you create characters and guide your heroes through quests for treasure\, battles with deadly foes\, daring rescues\, courtly intrigue\, and much more. \n  \nAll experience-levels are welcome in this one-off D&D session. Our GM will have some pre-generated characters available\, or you can bring your own 3rd level character (using book rules\, please no ‘homebrew’). \n  \n2:00pm to 6:00pm: Red Markets \nRed Markets is a tabletop RPG about economic horror. Characters risk their lives trading between the massive quarantine zones containing a zombie outbreak and the remains of civilization. They are Takers: mercenary entrepreneurs unwilling to accept their abandonment. Bound together into competing crews\, each seeks to profit from mankind’s near-extinction before it claims them. They must hustle\, scheme\, and scam as hard as they fight if they hope to survive the competing factions and undead hordes the GM throws at them. \n  \nTakers that are quick\, clever\, or brutal enough might live to see retirement in a safe zone\, but many discover too late that the cycle of poverty proves harder to escape than the hordes of undead. Red Markets uses the traditional zombie genre to tell a story about surviving on the wrong end of the economy. It’s cut-throat capitalism with its knife on your neck. \n  \n  \nResources \nMost RPG systems don’t offer a comprehensive “how to play” guide outside of the books for purchase. Each of the Great Clans suspiciously eyes the others and wonders whether the death was no tragic accident\, but a dishonorable act of murder. \nIn these times of strife\, a group of youths approaches the village of of Tsuma for the Topaz Championship and their gempuku\, the coming-of-age ceremony that will mark them as fully fledged samurai. Each contestant comes from a different clan and dreams of being the highest-scoring contestant in the tournament\, earning the title of Topaz Champion. Despite being pitted against one another\, they are all united in the desire to succeed and bring honor to their clan and family. \nNot everyone in Tsuma has honorable motives for the contest\, however.
