Shop local for your Easter baskets! Fun fiddle toys, pint-sized playing cards, and tiny tabletop games are perfect for bunny-believers of ALL ages. Here are some of our favorites:
- Rory’s Story Cubes are great for children to play alone or with adults, as a game, activity, or writing prompt. Select from many different styles such as Actions, Voyages, Intergalactic, and Prehistoria. We love these because they travel well and encourage creativity!
- Plus Plus is new to us and currently only available in South Portland, but coming soon to Portsmouth! These are unique puzzle-shaped pieces that can be put together to make something specific, like a unicorn, or for creative play. We carry small sets that are less then $10 – great for those who enjoy building!
- Classic card games such as Go Fish, Uno, and Phase 10 are still around for a reason, but if you want something fun and different, try Gamewright’s series of card games, including There’s a Moose in the House and Rat-a-Tat Cat. These are new classics that are great for those ages 6+.
In addition to fun baskets, Easter is a time to gather with family. We love a good family game on holidays, and Easter is no exception. We often recommend Concept and Codenames for large gatherings, and always love conversation starters from TableTopics. For something a little different, try Whim or Akin from Funnybone Games or Smart Ass for trivia lovers!
