We like to do puzzles all year long here at Diversions, but there’s nothing like the cool, crisp air and cloudy days of fall that make us want to settle in for a long few months with a good puzzle. Here are some of our favorite puzzle brands.

NEW YORK PUZZLE CO.

Founded in 2007 by two college pals, New York Puzzle Company started with a simple idea of making a puzzle of the iconic NYC subway map. Now it has grown to an expansive line of puzzles featuring fifteen licenses, including the witty New Yorker, Harry Potter book art,  vintage Babar and classic Peter Rabbit, just to name a few. Their puzzles range from 24 to 2000 pieces and are all made 100% in the USA out of recycled cardboard and printed with soy inks.

RAVENSBURGER

Ravensburger made their first puzzle in 1891, eight years after the company was founded. Nearly 75 years later, they were on the map with mass production and haven’t stopped since. Ravensburger continues to make puzzles for all ages, from 2 pieces to over 40,000 pieces! They are regarded as one of the best puzzle manufacturers in the world for their quality. Did you know one of their US offices can be found right here in Portsmouth, NH?!

COBBLE HILL

Cobble Hill was founded in 2005 with a desire to bring loving, whimsical, high-quality images to puzzle enthusiasts around the world. Their puzzles have been described as nostalgic, lively, endearing, sweet, durable, and fine quality. Their quirky shaped pieces, also known as “random cut” creates a fun challenge for puzzlers who want to adventure away from the predictable patterns of a ribbon cut puzzle.

WHITE MOUNTAIN PUZZLES

In 1978, two entrepreneurs in Jackson, New Hampshire started a small poster company that evolved into White Mountain Puzzles. For over 30 years, White Mountain Puzzles has crafted the highest quality puzzles for the entire family to enjoy. Every White Mountain Puzzle is manufactured in America. They offer colorful jigsaw puzzles from recognized artists, available for all ages and all levels of difficulty.
