Position: Event Facilitator

Position Type: Permanent, part-time, evenings and weekends required

Salary Range: Varies based on experience, starts at $10.50/hour

Hours:  3-8 hours per week as needed

Job Responsibilities:

  • Organize and facilitate regularly scheduled in-store and off-site events, 1-2x per week on average.

  • Learn and teach venue/audience-appropriate games at events while maintaining store presence through assisting attendees and occasionally selling merchandise.

  • Communicate event updates and attendee feedback to venue host and store manager.

  • Work with store manager to create new events and refresh current event calendar.

  • Assist store manager in identifying needs and logistics for in-store and off-site events, including prize support, promotional materials, and merchandise.

  • Maintain records for sanctioned gaming events and tournaments as required.

  • Assist with managing and ordering inventory for events.

  • Assist with maintaining and growing event attendance.

  • Sales associate duties on occasion as assigned by manager, including: provide product information to customers; recommend age and skill appropriate games and puzzles to customers, operate cash register, process credit card payments, and ensure the neat and orderly appearance of the store.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of retail experience preferred, but not required.

  • High school diploma preferred.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Have flexibility in availability. Be punctual and reliable.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and with other team members.

  • Ability to work in a busy environment and manage multiple work responsibilities simultaneously.

  • Reliable form of transportation to attend game events off-site, primarily during evenings and weekends.
